Department: Information Technology (I.T)
Reports to: I.T Manager
Job Scope
Under the guidance of the IT Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the company’s I.T Systems are running properly and efficiently with minimal downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Returns
- To maximize the business value and revenues from the effective and efficient use of Information Technology in the company by ensuring the Computer Systems are installed and operated according to company standards, policy and procedures.
- To assist all users in sorting out the issues they may face in the main applications.
- To manage and prioritize any IT problems, impacting either revenue and/or the guest, for quick resolution and to back up the IT Manager (for daily operations).
- Tactically manage the day to day business with key internal/external relationships.
People
- Supervise IT trainees.
- Assist users in using IT systems and enhance their knowledge, skills and productivity.
- Provide remote support and on-site intervention on any day and time.
- Perform routine check on systems to ensure that unauthorized software’s are not installed and illicit websites are not accessed; all incidents must be reported to the IT Manager.
- Record logs – changes made on core systems; OS security, application & system; breaches; backups; threats (spam, virus, hacking, malicious file deletions…).
In the case where the Company is into Guest Experience/ Hospitality
Services:
- Assist guests in setup and using IT systems; and enhance their stay at our hotel.
- Ensure customer satisfaction on I.T related matters.Assist users in using IT systems and enhance their knowledge, skills and productivity.
- Provide remote support and on-site intervention on any day and time.
- Maintain the IT systems software and hardware park to ensure NO downtime including but not limited to:

- Point of Sales
- Servers
- Desktops/Laptops
- Peripherals
- Network
- HR/Payroll
- Accounting
- Guest Internet
- Security Back-up
Required Qualification
Skills Required
- Possesses a good understanding of the Windows Desktop and Microsoft operating system administration, configuring of mail systems, systems installation and configuration, printing, systems fundamentals of security, installing third party software configuring clients on the network.
- Possesses a good understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts understands principles of routing, clients/server programming, the design of consistent network-wide file systems layouts.
- Possess strong technical skills covering a broad range of systems and technologies.
- Should have strong communication skills, acting as a vendor liaison, and work closely and interacting positively with upper management.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely, with continuous feedback to the I.T Manager.
- Deep analytical skills, able to look at issues and opportunity from different angles.
- Self-motivated to drive for results.
- Ability to understand the business and be culturally aware avoiding any tension between people.
- Customer focused.
- Good team player in team work.
Qualifications
- A College Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience
- At least two (2) years of a previous systems administration.
- Hotel experience in IT or Operation is desirable.
